It wasn't looking good for United to start the game with only 1 sub and we were playing CCFC which defeated us earlier in the season 10 - 1. With people coming late and not enough time to catch our breaths in between shifts we decided to play a defensive game until the opportunities came, which payed off. Riess, with his 4th goal of the season, put United up 1 - 0 mid-way through the 1st half.

Our Div II Capitals United is having an outstanding season so far, and to top it all off, gave the Roadrunners a licking last night with a 6 - 1 win and improve their record to 4 - 1 - 0. With the win, the Capitals are in 2nd place in Pool A going into the Christmas break and tied for 2nd Overall all in Div II. And after another 2 week break we looked like we just couldn't hit the net again, with shots going every which way accept the back of the net. Both teams played pretty good, it was a defensive game allowing not to many shots. Nothing much to say accept that Internacional scored with about 5 mins left in the game to make it a 1 - 0 loss for United. Next, CCFC and we will be looking to come back

Capitals United had high hopes on going to the final this weekend but came up a little short with a 1-2-0 record. After our 10 - 1 defeat in the 1st game of the season we have improved 100% and seem to be clicking on all cylinders. Our defence has been amazing, our offence has been getting more shots, and as usual, our goaltending has been great! Both teams started off strong early in the game but the Diablos had a little more advantage with having a full roster and should of out ran us all night.

This game meant a little more for 3 players on the Capitals United Team cause last year they were playing for RD Porto. What a pathetic start to the 2004-05 Indoor Season for Capitals United sufferring a severe beating by the CCFC 10 - 1.
